Stuart and Mark and Friends
We’re back with another exhibition of a wide variety of work.
Stuart and Mark are back with four artists new this year; Jing Wang presents her wonderful Chinese brush paintings, Chris Heape presents his colourful ceramics, René de Lange presents fabrics and Louise Durham returns after some years to showing in our house and garden, presenting her glass and wood totems, plus new indoor pieces such as lamps. We are also honoured to again present work by the doyen of Fiveways and Open Houses, Ned Hoskins (thanks to Gerry Holloway). More former Fiveways Open House artists are showing with us again; Jude Clynick and Eva Wibberley. Claudia Rivers-Bland will also be showing her very colourful prints.
Mark will be showing a spectacular sunrise from the Québec Laurentians as well as local scenes.
Our house has always been a venue that shows ceramics, and we are delighted to welcome back Juliet Walters, Saya McNairn-Yanagi and Hilary Stirling as well as new to us Chris Heape. Cat Guerrier’s ceramic jewellery will also be here.
A total of 16 artists are showing with us this year; do come and see our show in house and large garden.
The garden is an amazing feature (up 20 steps from the house), being a large, stepped space with fruit trees, native plants, and a semi-wild meadow as a great backdrop for outdoor work. Stuart manages it with no pesticides or weed killers, and it’s a haven for insects of all kinds.
