One-Six-Nine
This year, we again aim to dazzle with fine quality, vibrant works from some of the top creators in their respective fields. As well as our favourite regular faces, we are proud to introduce some artists new to AOH.
Hiroko presents a range of new works in a variety of styles, all recognisably possessing her unique expressive combination of oil paint, metal leaf, and patination.
Marco Araldi applies his architectural training to create finely-detailed and often geometrical works with metal leaf, overlaid with exotic flora and fauna.
Mark Munroe-Preston coalesces photography, digital painting, and collage to create atmospheric treescapes inspired by his experiences in nature, presenting them as limited-edition prints on brushed aluminium sheets.
Tom Peterson presents his latest work in Japanese-inspired raku, including new finishes and shapes.
Dona Diani brings us a range of new rings and pendants using her signature Maligano Jasper, as well as silver and other materials.
Michael Steven Harris specialises in landscape astrophotography. Highly-Commended in the world-renowned “Astronomy Photographer of the Year Awards” by the Royal Museums Greenwich for Aurora Borealis over Brighton Seafront, he was also AOH Photographer of the Year in 2023.
Alan Pearce, inspired by Japanese design and Antoni Gaudi, combines Japanese aesthetics with Art Deco style, showcasing precision and attention to detail, using the dramatic and unpredictable raku firing.
Allison Murphy has a range of new styles and colourways to delight with her Sussex-inspired wood-cut prints.
Marta Ptaszkiewicz graces the walls of our Red Room with rhythmic works, created to music, that are almost three-dimensional and carry the viewer along.
Eve Claire Taylor is displaying her enamel/cloissonné jewellery with us for the first time, beautifully crafted in iridescent and glowing colours.
