Welcome to Hygge, long-listed for Best Open House in 2023. Hosts Bex and Stan are once again opening their house, studio, and garden. They have carefully curated artists that share their love of tactile design and cosy details. Their home has been lovingly renovated and is a rather unique venue so it’s not to be missed!

They’re will be home-baked cakes and refreshments served in the garden, workshops throughout the month and the makers and artists will be on hand to share the craftsmanship behind their work. Hygge hopes to give you a greater understanding and appreciation of handcrafted work and inspire you to learn new skills.

Bex and Stan are the ceramists behind Throw to Fire. Their pieces are functional wheel thrown forms inspired by contemporary Scandi-living and designed to be used everyday.

Aey, Aeyglom, is a ceramist who specialises in slip casting to create statement porcelain tableware.

Dan Howey, is a craftsman and designer making wooden furniture and homewares using sustainable components.

Hannah is the jeweller behind Fair Jewellery. She creates timeless, responsibly sourced and ethical pieces.

Kalsang Shoba, is a woodcut printmaker. He engraves wooden blocks and prints layer upon layer to create stunning results.

Liv Cornall is a furniture designer and maker. Her pieces are made to order and capture the essence of nature in her signature style.

Shiv Textiles is a sustainable textile designer, rescuing and repurposing dead-stock yarn from the fashion industry.

WillMake(s) Things, creates unique objects combining digital fabrication processes and handmade crafts.
