Opening its doors for the fifth time on the Fiveways Trail, this large Edwardian house is a hidden gem set back from Balfour Road surrounded by a mature garden in which you can enjoy tea, coffee and cakes.

My family, the Bretts, bought this house back in 1976 and little did I think when I moved out at 18, that I’d eventually move back in with my own clan.  In my childhood days the house was always busy, anarchic and bursting with life. We’re looking to rekindle that spirit as a venue for our Open House.  With the help of my lovely friend, ceramicist, Angela Evans, who will be demoing her skills in The Garage Studio, we’ve assembled an eclectic group of talented indoor and outdoor artists working in a wide range of media.   The alliums should be out in force and the lemon drizzle cake ready, to welcome old Open House friends and new visitors to The Hidden House at 142.
