Welcome to Starling Studio!
Nestled in the heart of Fiveways, Starling Studio is a vibrant creative Studio, which offers a welcoming space for anyone looking to explore their artistic side. Run by Jo Corney from Lume Lighting, the studio offers a diverse range of courses and workshops designed to inspire and engage. Whether you’re looking to refine your artistic abilities, try something completely new, or simply enjoy a few hours of creative escapism, Starling Studio provides the perfect environment to learn, create, and connect with like-minded people.
Join Us for Artists Open Houses This May!
This May, we are excited to open our doors for Artists Open Houses, transforming the studio into a vibrant exhibition space. Jo will be showcasing her handmade lampshades alongside an inspiring collection of work from eleven talented local artists and makers.
The walls will be brought to life with contemporary paintings by Jo Hathaway, striking abstract prints by Marko, and illustrative collages by Ruth Waters.
For those drawn to jewellery, there will be something for every taste, from the colourful and fun designs of Hello Terry to the modern, precious silver pieces by Lulu McQueen. Laura Danby’s striking handmade acrylic jewellery and gifts will add a vibrant touch, while Martha Mitchell Design will showcase a stunning collection of black and white illustrated homeware, each piece brimming with intricate detail.
Visitors can also discover small-batch, handcrafted soaps by Kemptown Provisions, as well as Kay Train’s playful ceramics and Rose Emma Ceramics’ elegant wheel-thrown pottery. Completing the collection, Evergood will present a range of playful prints and joyful goods, perfect for brightening any space.
