We’ve filled our house and garden with stunning fine art again.

Jane Palmer is showing her expressive portraits, still lifes and landscapes in oils, and sensitive, detailed portrait drawings.  Jane was AOH Artist of the Year in 2019.  She is a member of the Society of Sussex Painters.

WITH US FOR THE FIRST TIME:

John Haywood paints watercolour landscapes, city scenes and interiors.  John says ‘I love the immediacy of watercolour. There is no better medium for capturing the fleeting play of light across a scene.’  You might catch John painting in our garden – check our website for times of his demos.

RETURNING GUEST ARTISTS:

Stef Hunter’s ceramics reflect ideas and inspiration from the coastline and surrounding landscape.  She makes expressive use of slips and glazes, using hand building and the potter’s wheel.

Nigel Hunter’s sculptural work in clay and stone emanates from a continuing fascination with the geometry and topology of nature and how aspects of those might transition into more abstract forms.

Gabrielle Lord is ‘a figurative artist with an interest in capturing movement.  Dancers, skaters and circus performers frequently emerge, colourful and vibrant, suspended in a heightened state of awareness.’

Tan Kingston is a Kent and Somerset based artist who paints a range of subject matter; the female figure, storytelling, still life and animals.  Tan’s style is gestural and painterly with an intuitive use of colour.
